1% pin in solid pewter, for your vest, jacket or saddlebag. 2 posts, hand-applied aged silver patina. Made in our family workshop in France.
Where does the 1% come from?
It all started in July 1947 in Hollister, California: a motorcycle rally turned into a brawl and made the front pages. According to legend, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) replied that 99% of motorcyclists were law-abiding citizens. The AMA says it has never found any record of saying so, but the line stuck, and some bikers proudly claimed to be “the other 1%”. Since then, the 1% has become one of the strongest symbols of the biker world.
Two attachment points
At 27 mm (1.06 in) wide and 40 mm (1.57 in) high, this pin sits on two posts: it stays straight and won’t rotate on your vest. To make sure you never lose it on the road, try our locking pin backs (you’ll need two).
Handmade, piece by piece
In our family workshop, since 1989, every pin is cast in solid pewter in our own moulds, deburred by hand and given an aged silver patina. The patina brings out every detail, and pewter never rusts.
