A large Celtic round for the back of your vest
A round patch 22.8 cm across, edged with a wide band of Celtic knots embossed in the leather. In the centre we mount our 14 cm skull-ring disc, and inside the ring the decoration of your choice. Three colours: aged brown, red or white, with a skull ring in the same colour. A bold piece made for the back of a vest or jacket.
Feathers and fringes in the centre
Inside the skull ring we mount a small skull disc (Ø 80 mm) and the feather and fringe rivet of your choice, from 42 designs: Route 66, skull, wolf, eagle, cross, turquoise or onyx conchos… The fringes match the patch colour. Price: €45 for the large Celtic round, plus the usual price of the skull disc with its small disc and fringe rivet.
Pre-punching option (+€5)
Sewing your patch on by hand is the personal touch that makes all the difference on a vest. On a leather vest, you also have to pierce the vest leather to pass the needle. With the pre-punching option, we punch the edge of the patch in advance, with a hole every 2 mm. The patch then becomes your template: glue it onto the vest with leather glue so it stays in place, pierce the vest through its holes, and both are perfectly aligned. All that’s left is to sew with a saddle stitch, using two needles and waxed thread: it’s the strongest stitch for leather, and you’ll easily find a tutorial by searching “leather saddle stitch” on YouTube. For machine sewing, the unpunched patch is the better choice.
Made in our workshop
In our family workshop, since 1989, our patches are cut from full-grain leather made especially for Traveller Shop by a French tanner, then embossed. On the photo the relief barely shows: in real life the design stands out clearly, and the patch looks even better.
