Winged Spartan Pin, Pewter

The Spartan
A Spartan warrior’s helmet, with its crest and cheek guards, framed by two large wings. Two curved swords cross over the chest, above interlaced knotwork. Sparta means courage and loyalty to the end: you never let your brothers down. The pin is 4 mm (0.16 in) thick at the centre, with flat edges that sit flush on the leather.

Two attachment points
At 29 mm (1.14 in) wide and 49 mm (1.93 in) high, this pin sits on two posts: it stays firmly in place on your vest. To make sure you never lose it on the road, try our locking pin backs (you’ll need two).

Handmade, piece by piece
In our family workshop, since 1989, every pin is cast in solid pewter in our own moulds, deburred by hand and given an aged silver patina. The patina brings out every detail of the relief, and pewter never rusts. And it looks even better in real life than in the photo: the relief and patina really show once it’s in your hand.
