CUSTOMIZE YOUR WINGS!
Embossed leather wings patch (164 × 65 mm / 6.5 × 2.6 in), with or without leather fringes and pewter feathers. Choose the wing colour and the fringe design, from 42 designs. Made in our workshop in France.
Wings and fringes, your way
An embossed leather wings patch that you customise yourself. You choose the colour of the wings, the centre design out of 42, the colour of the washer and the colour of the fringes. The photo changes with each choice, so you see exactly the patch you will receive. Sew it in the middle of the back of a women’s or kids’ vest, or anywhere you like.

With or without fringes
The patch on its own costs €25. With a design riveted on its washer, without fringes, it costs €35. With fringes, it costs €40: two pewter feathers and lambskin leather strips about 22 cm long that move in the wind as you ride. A Traveller Shop classic.
Shipped unassembled: how to fit it
The wings and the design are shipped separately. The rivet and its cap are included.
To see how it is done, watch the video on our DIY Rivet Montage page. It shows another rivet from our workshop, but it is fitted the same way.
Pre-punched option (+€5)
Hand-sewing your own patch is the personal touch that makes all the difference on a vest. On a leather vest, you also need to pierce the vest leather to pass the needle. With the pre-punched option, we punch the edge of the patch in advance, with a hole every 2 mm. The patch then becomes your template: glue it onto the vest with leather glue so it stays in place, pierce the vest leather through its holes, and both line up perfectly. All that is left is to sew with a saddle stitch, using two needles and waxed thread: it is the strongest stitch for leather, and you will easily find a tutorial by searching “leather saddle stitch” on YouTube. For machine sewing, the unpunched patch is the better choice.
Made in our workshop
In our family workshop, since 1989, the wings are cut from full-grain leather made especially for Traveller Shop by a French tannery, then embossed, and the pewter pieces are cast in our own moulds. The relief barely shows in the photo: in real life the design stands out by about 3 mm, and the patch looks even better.
