Antique brown, red and black, black and white or black. Sew-on, pre-punching option. Made in our workshop in France.
Two crowns of skulls, feathers and fringes in the centre
A large 14 cm round patch, embossed in relief with a crown of skulls. In the centre we sew our small round PE35 patch (8 cm), also crowned with skulls, and rivet a pewter motif on it with its feathers and leather fringes: eagle, wolf, bison, Route 66, skull, crosses, turquoise or onyx conchos… 42 designs to choose from. Four colours: antique brown, red and black, black and white, or black. The small patch always matches the colour of the large one.
The fringes
The fringes follow the colour of the patch: black on the brown and on the black; red or black on the red; white or black on the white. The motif sits on a matching leather washer.
Pre-punching option (+€5)
Sewing your patch on yourself, by hand, is the personal touch that makes all the difference on a vest. On a leather vest you also have to pierce the vest leather to pass the needle. With the pre-punching option, we punch the edge of the patch in advance, with a hole every 2 mm. The patch then becomes your template: glue it to the vest with leather glue so it stays put, pierce the vest leather through its holes, and both line up perfectly. All that is left is to sew with a saddle stitch, using two needles and waxed thread: it is the strongest stitch for leather, and you will easily find a tutorial by searching “leather saddle stitch” on YouTube. For machine sewing, the unpunched patch is better.
Made in our workshop
In our family workshop, since 1989, our patches are cut from full-grain leather made especially for Traveller Shop by a French tannery, then embossed. We assemble everything: you receive the patch ready to sew. In the photo the relief barely shows: in real life the design stands out clearly, and the patch looks even better.
