Route 66 – leather fringe, pewter feathers

A fringe that moves with the road
Black dipped lambskin straps, two pewter feathers and, at the top, the pewter Route 66 design on a leather washer. It moves in the wind when you ride. Put it on a saddlebag, a vest, a jacket or anywhere else you like. A Traveller Shop classic.

How it is assembled
The fringe brings together three parts: the pewter design, the leather washer with the two feathers, and the fringes. An 8 mm (0.31 in) tubular rivet, already inserted in the design, goes through them all. To fit it, push the tube through your support (up to 6 mm / 0.24 in thick), clip the closing cap onto the tube, then strike it with a hammer. Everything is crimped together and the fringe holds firmly, with no sewing.

Made in our workshop
In our family workshop, since 1989, the pewter pieces are cast in our own moulds and the fringes are assembled by hand. And in real life, it looks even better than in the photo.
