Viking Longship Pin, Pewter

The longship
In a round medallion, a Viking longship on the waves: sail full, shields lined up along the side and a dragon’s head on the prow. The Vikings set off into the unknown without knowing if they’d return: the spirit of travel and the road. The pin is 8 mm (0.31 in) thick at the centre, with flat edges that sit flush on the leather.

Three attachment points
At 37 mm (1.46 in) in diameter, this pin sits on three posts: it stays firmly in place on your vest. To make sure you never lose it on the road, try our locking pin backs (you’ll need three).

Handmade, piece by piece
In our family workshop, since 1989, every pin is cast in solid pewter in our own moulds, deburred by hand and given an aged silver patina. The patina brings out every detail of the relief, and pewter never rusts. And it looks even better in real life than in the photo: the relief and patina really show once it’s in your hand.
