Scorpion Pin, Pewter

The scorpion
Claws open and tail curled, ready to strike. The scorpion survives anywhere, even in the desert: a symbol of toughness, and the sign of those born under Scorpio. The pin is 7 mm (0.28 in) thick at the centre, with flat edges that sit flush on the leather.

Two attachment points
At 26 mm (1.02 in) wide and 36 mm (1.42 in) high, this pin sits on two posts: it stays firmly in place on your vest. To make sure you never lose it on the road, try our locking pin backs (you’ll need two).

Handmade, piece by piece
In our family workshop, since 1989, every pin is cast in solid pewter in our own moulds, deburred by hand and given an aged silver patina. The patina brings out every detail of the relief, and pewter never rusts. And it looks even better in real life than in the photo: the relief and patina really show once it’s in your hand.
