Solid pewter pin: Saint Christopher, patron saint of travellers, carrying the child on his shoulders, framed by the inscription “St. Christopher Protect Us”. Three posts, hand-applied antique silver patina. Made in our family workshop in France.
Saint Christopher is the patron saint of travellers, and since the last century of motorists too. According to legend, he carried travellers across a river; one day, the child on his shoulders grew so heavy that he could barely reach the other bank: it was Christ. His name itself means “Christ-bearer”. Ever since, many drivers have kept his medal with them. On a biker vest, he watches over the road.
Real relief
The medal is sculpted in full volume, up to 8 mm thick at the centre: Saint Christopher, staff in hand, the child on his shoulder, his feet in the water. The figure is cut out in openwork, set apart from the ring bearing the inscription “St. Christopher Protect Us”. Under the patina, the folds of the cloak and the lettering stand out. At 21.5 g, it’s a solid, heavy piece you can feel in your hand.
Three fastening posts
At 39 mm across, this pin is held by three posts: it stays perfectly straight and won’t move on your vest. To make sure you never lose it on the road, try our locking pin backs (you’ll need three), which fit all our pins.
Handmade, piece by piece
In our family workshop, since 1989, each pin is cast in solid pewter in our own moulds, deburred by hand, then patinated to give it the antique silver look that brings out every detail. No two are exactly alike.
In real life
Our photos already show the difference in finish compared with mass-produced pins. But they can’t convey the true relief or the weight of solid pewter: in your hand, the pin feels more substantial and looks even better than on screen.
